Pick of the Week: NBA All-Star Weekend

This weekend marks the start of All-Star weekend. An exciting time involving the Dunk Contest, the Three-Point Contest, all capped off by the All-Star game. The All-Star game focuses on the best of the best from the East and West conferences.

This year, the East have LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony, averaging 24.9 and 21.4 points per game respectively. These two are the best of the best from the East, and maybe even the NBA. I believe with these two on the East, the West will have a really tough time stopping them. However, the West has Steph Curry on their team, who is averaging a whopping 29.9 points per game this season. Steph is hard to stop, because he can shoot from anywhere on the court (including half-court and 3/4 court). However, my prediction is that the East will come away easily with the win, 120-113.

My next prediction is for the dunk contest. I believe Andre Drummond will easily come away with the dunk contest. He will win with perfects 10’s.

Finally, I believe Steph Curry has the Three-Point Contest already won. His only real challenge will be his teammate Klay Thompson. However, I believe Steph will win by 1.

I am currently 3-1 on predictions after accurately predicting Denver to win the Super Bowl. Let’s see if I can sweep All-Star Weekend and improve to 6-1! I sure hope so.
