Matt Ryan or Tom Brady for MVP?

There is a debate about which QB  should be the MVP of the NFL. The obvious first quarterback in discussion is Tom Brady, who, in twelve games, has thrown for 3554 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 2 interception. Tom Brady has the best TD/Int Ratio in the NFL. Tom has won two MVP awards and has four Super Bowls under his belt.

On the other side, we have Matt Ryan. Matty Ice, as some call him, has thrown for 38 touchdowns, 7 interceptions, and 4,944 yards. Matt has played sixteen games this season and is going to his first Super Bowl in his career. Matt has not won league MVP in his 9 NFL seasons.

Matt Ryan should be the league MVP. Why, you might ask? Matt Ryan has thrown for more yards and touchdowns than Brady with a worse offensive line and not as good of a wide receiver corps. Tom Brady has Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Martellus Bennett, Danny Amendola, and James White, all who can make plays out of any pass. Matt Ryan has Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu (who only just started stepping up as a playmaker) and yet has thrown for more yards and touchdowns than Brady. Brady is a great quarterback, don’t get me wrong, and will definitely be a hall-of-famer and will go down as one of the best QBs ever, but Matt Ryan has done more to earn the MVP this year.

Give Matt Ryan the MVP…
